The 3rd set of English Premier League fixtures of 2019/2020 season includes a crunchy tie between Liverpool and Arsenal. The match have been the talk of the week by pundits and football lovers in England and much is expected in the match between this big rivals.
The last four visit of Arsenal to Anfield have not favoured the gunners with the most recent one ending 5-1 as Liverpool thrashed Arsenal and Reberto Firmino scoring a hat-trick in the game.
Liverpool look more of a compact team than Arsenal and will be sure to give the gunners more problem to deal with in today’s fixture. Arsenal have strengthen their team ahead of this season with £72 million signing of Nicolas Pepe amongst others, while Liverpool only signed a goal keeper, Adrian as a second choice to Allison.
We don’t expect to see a thrashing this time around as both team are expected to prove their credentials ahead of a long season.
According to Skysports, Liverpool have no fresh injury concerns but Adrian is again likely to deputise for the injured Alisson. Fabinho and Jordan Henderson are likely to return to midfield in place of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner. Naby Keita remains unavailable as he continues his recovery from a muscle strain.
Arsenal have Granit Xhaka and Mesut Ozil back in training and both could play a part this weekend. Rob Holding (knee) has also started participating in full training. However, Emile Smith Rowe (groin), Hector Bellerin (knee), Kieran Tierney (groin) and Dinos Mavropanos (groin) all remain sidelined.
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Adrian; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Henderson; Salah, Mane, Firmino
Arsenal possible starting lineup:
Leno; Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, Luiz, Monreal; Guendouzi, Xhaka, Ceballos; Aubameyang, Pepe, Lacazette
This one is a little tough but we know most people will be going for a Liverpool win, which off-course looks like it but Brainybets think Arsenal might upset Liverpool today.
Brainybet Predicts: 1-1
