Liverpool highly rated youngster Herbie Kane enjoyed a loan move to Doncastor last season having played 49 matches and scoring 7 goals.
Kane wants to get more playing time again this season in hope that he could break into the senior team soon.
Portsmouth are thought to keen on Kane according to reports amongst other clubs like Sunderland and Conventry who have shown interest in him.
Another loan move away from Anfield this season seems to be on card for the 20-year-old but reports now say that Liverpool’s boss Jurgen Klopp will keep the youngster at Anfield so he could feature in the Carabao Cup Campaign this season.
Klopp will give more playing time to some of his lads as the manager is looking to focus on another strong contention for Champions League and Premier League this season.
Portsmouth hope of signing Kane is fading, serving as a blow to Pompey who had hope to sign the player before the transfer deadline.
Kane was spotted at Doncaster’s match against Fleetwood last weekend, it is understood that he was there to see his former team-mates play rather than closing on a return to Keepm0at stadium.
