Arsenal Captain Laurent Koscielny could be set for a move to Bordeaux as a deal as been agreed for the 33-year-old. The deal is estimated to be around £5m and it is understood that the defender have flown to the Ligue 1 side ahead of his medical.
The French man refused to travel with Arsenal on their pre-season tour this summer and also rejected a contract extension having felt undervalued for his contribution and continued ability according to BBC Sport.
Arsenal have made attempts to convince their captain to stay but he was hell-bent on leaving the club. Having spent 9 years with the gunners since joining from Lorient, Koscielny wants to head back to Ligue 1 his homeland.
With the imminent departure of Koscienly, Arsenal will be looking to fill the void the French man will leave in the gunners defence line. Reports have suggested that Arsenal are looking at Juventus defender Rugani and also keen on Leipzig’s Upamecano as a possible replacement.
Arsenal also looking to sell some fringe players in the squad as report suggest that talks have begun with Nottingham Forest to sell Carl Jenkinson. The gunners will also be willing to listen to offers for Mustafi who put up dissappointing performances for most part of last season.
