Real Betis have confirmed the signing of France international Nabil Fekir from Lyon in an £18m deal.
The La Liga side were swift in their interest and able to negotiate the transfer deal better with the former Lyon man having only one year left on his contract.
This is a win-win situation for both clubs as Lyon would rather cash in on him now than allow him leave on a free next summer. Fekir looked set for a Liverpool move last summer but the deal did not materialise.
The 26-year-old who came in through the youth ranks broke into the senior team in 2013. He also made his mark in world cup coming on as a substitute in the final against Croatia, as France won.
It is believe that the french man will be a good replacement for Giovani Lo Celso who has made it clear that he wants to leave.
There is no doubt Fekir will be an important player for Betis having shown his qualities in Lyon, making around 200 appeareances and scoring 69 goals in the process.
Real Betis kicks off next season La Liga campaign against Valladolid next month.
